About Connie Vines






Married with two grown sons, Connie Vines resides deep in the quirky suburbs of southern California with her family and an adorable toy poodle named Chanel. The past president of GothRom (Gothic Chapter of Romance Writers), and secretary of  The Outreach International Chapter of RWA, Connie participates in local literary events and judges national and international writing contests. She has published over one hundred short stories (including the Thompson Gale Education Series), non-fiction articles, fifteen novels, ghost-written two literary novels, and one screenplay.

Her novels have been recognized by Romance Writers of America: The H.O.L.T Medallion (Honoring Outstanding Literary Talent), The Orange Rose (Contemporary Romance), The International Award of Excellence, Fool for Love, First Impressions, Colorado Gold Award, and the Independent e-Book Award, Historical Fiction,

Her YA/Middle School fiction and historical fiction were given a literary nod: Dream Realm Award, Independent e-book Award, Frankfurt eBook Award nominee, and National Book Award nominee. The novel was also a featured "Book of the Month Club" and "Teen Read" selection in the Northeast Public System.

Connie stepped into Ginger Simpson's well-worn cowgirl boots to the helm of  "Dish'n It Out." Just so the readers know, Connie isn't a sissy-city girl. Growing up in a military family, Connie called many places home--including San Diego horse country, the Texas panhandle, and the deep South.
