Six Sentence Sunday

This week, I'm sharing six sentences from Masked Love which is being released by Muse It Up Publishing in July.  I love the cover...how about you?

“You want me to what?”  Olivia Wilson stared at Doctor Ray. The paper on the examining table crinkled with her shocked movement.
“A lot of people wear one and eventually get used to it.” 
“But what if I don’t want to?”  She eyed the contraption he dangled in the air that looked like something he’d snatched from a scuba diver.

    Thrown right into the scene, who hasnt crinkled that thin paper you have to sit on? And, what is that he's showing her? Great lines, and oh yes, that's one awesome cover.

    Ooh, what's he showing her? My first thought was a CPAP mask, but considering the cover, I wonder if it doesn't fit into the plot a little more than that. Also "Doctor Ray" sounds a little informal, despite the paper-covered exam table. Mysteries! Looking forward to reading this.

    So many questions: What's the doctor holding? Why would lots of people wear it? Hey, is he even a real doctor or are they just "playing doctor?" I've gotta know!

    I do like the cover a lot, it's not too busy like a lot of the ones I'm seeing lately.

    The scene really gets our attention... What is going on here in this familiar space?
