Welcome, Jamie Hill - Things to be Thankful For...

The Future's So Bright, I Have To Wear Shades by Jamie Hill

I'm grateful for the usual things this November, but believe me, this year we aren't taking those things lightly at my house. It's been a tumultuous twelve months with some deaths in our extended family, some illnesses, and some health scares that have shaken us to the core. Fortunately, I'm happy to say that as of now, we're all fine and the future looks bright.

Our eldest son has been working out of the country since February. He'll be home for the first time next Feb., and we'll be very thrilled to see him. The rest of the brood are basically healthy and happy and the McRib is back, so who could ask for anything more? *grin*

On the writing front, I'm extremely thankful to have come together with Judith Pittman and Sheri L. McGathy to form Books We Love Publishing Partners. I've struggled for several years to find the right outlet for my books, and am so pleased that I've finally found what I was looking for. BWLPP publishes new and vintage work from established and well-reviewed authors. Family Secrets and the sequel, Family Ties, are both available from BWLPP. Three short stories, High Maintenance, All That Jazz, and Playing With Destiny, are also available. My latest piece is a romantic suspense novella called On The Edge.

Detective Jake Gilford is skeptical when he hears Joss Wheeler say she believes her newly inherited house is haunted. He's a man of facts and hard evidence, and ghosts aren't on his radar screen. He's also a man, and Joss is a beautiful, if somewhat nutty, woman. Won over by her charms, he's mindful but not concerned about their racial differences. He promises to stay and help her unravel the mystery of the house, or whatever else she has that might need unraveling.

Author Jamie Hill has a knack for pulling a reader deeper and deeper into her stories as they try to figure out where she is leading them. Her characters are very realistic as they grow closer while working together to discover what or who is trying to scare Joss away. If you love a good captivating mystery then you'll want to make sure Edge is on your list." ~ Tammy, Fallen Angel Reviews
