Classic Ginger: Sarah's Hope

Today, I'm doing a cover reveal for my upcoming novel, Sarah's Hope.  The manuscript is currently with editors, and I'm hoping they don't find much since I had my beta reader, Diane Scott Lewis go through it.  She made some wonderful suggestions and I believe I'm officially the queen of missing closed quotes.  *lol*

I'm currently working on another historical western, and I'm really excited about it.  Desperation's Bride is due to be finished sometime this year.

In the meantime, check out Sarah's Hope and Passion.  Although Sarah's Hope is a stand alone novel, it always helps to know backstory and there's a lot to read in the preceding book.

So...here are two beautiful covers.  I'm just sorry the girls don't look one and the same, because they are...at least in my mind.

TA DA!!!!!

Happy Reading!

Cover Reveal - Sarah's Hope

I'm pleased to share my new cover with you.  Sarah's Hope...a continuation of Sarah's life will be released soon by Books We Love.  I'm closing in on writing "the end."  I'm hoping everyone who read  Sarah's Heart and Passion will want to explore life a little further with Sarah.
If you want to purchase your own copy and be prepared...all my books are available via my Amazon page.  Oh...this beautiful cover was done by Michelle Lee.

 BLURB:

Sarah Collins first began her journey on a wagon train bound for old west and met a man who’d become the love of her life. After waking from a dream she believed truly valid, she met her half Lakota-half-white man again…this time for real and in Manhattan…and married him.  Now Nathanial Elder (AKA Wolf) is dead at the hands of a drunk driver, and Sarah Elder is trying to get past her grief and get on with life.  Somewhere, somehow, she angered someone and she hasn’t an inkling who or how.

Frightening phone calls, death threats, and police investigating for clues turn Sarah’s life into sheer turmoil. Another dream about Wolf adds even more confusion, and best friend, Marie, who is staying with Sarah until the culprit is caught doesn’t take things too seriously until the caller obviously knows all about her, too.

A murdered policeman, a stranger who seems to know everything about Sarah’s past, present and future, makes the danger astonishingly real. Will the police discover the person who eventually kidnaps Sarah, and will they save her before the killer sends her soul to the great beyond?  Has Wolf intervened from the grave to lend help in keeping his wife alive?

Cover Reveal and Release Announcement

Cover Art by Michelle Lee
I'm free at last.  Me and Martin Luther King share the same passion for freedom.  I've given new life to an older publication that was far too expensive to enjoy sales, and Books We Love has granted me the privilege of publishing both a new and improved version along with a new cover.  I'm thrilled to present Dancing Fawn, available now on Amazon and other venues.  My heroine may have started out as Grace Cummings, but Little Elk renames her with a true Lakota name.
Jamie Hill reminded me that this book is available via the BWL site using Payloadz.  Readers can select the format they need and take advantage of the sales.  You can even pay via Paypal.  What a deal.  Eventually...all books will be there.  Jamie is working her fingers to the bone to get them there. Check it out:

Sample:

·      ·         Grace scanned the village and the seemingly hostile people surrounding her. Her heart pounded with fear. What would become of the her? Her mind played flashbacks of her family sprawled on the ground. Not even a proper burial... just left to the hungry animals roaming the plains. If only she could block the scene from her mind, but her heart ached for the loss of her loved ones. She’d never see her mother’s lovely face or hear her father’s booming voice...and her brother, Kevin, her protector and best friend...dead without even experiencing life.

Oh, how she detested the brutal and heartless man who held her tether. She struggled to keep her footing, her hatred growing with each step. She’d never before wished anyone dead, but if he dropped at her feet, she’d find the energy to dance with joy. Her mind spun in a million directions. What was her captor saying? Did he think she understood the strange words he barked at her? Was he going to brutalize her?  What had her family done to deserve such a brutal end…and why not kill her, too?

The sound of arguing intruded into her dismal thoughts. She glanced up and spied red braids. For a moment Grace’s thoughts turned to something other than her own pending fate. Didn’t all Indians have dark hair?  The woman’s locks shone like fire, but her sun-kissed skin made it difficult to tell if she was white. Could she be a captive?

Before Grace could speak to the red-haired woman, Grace’s captor tugged hard on the leather strap that bound her and yanked her so hard she fell. Fiery pain blazed through her already bleeding wrists. She tried to get to her feet, but he dragged her body through the powdery dirt. Wracked by pain, she closed her eyes and silently prayed for help. If I’m to die, dear God, please let it be swift.

I hope you enjoy what you read and will want to know Dancing Fawn's whole story.

BLURB: This book is a biography of a woman I have loved and admired for the whole of my life. In December 1944 a German family of seven were captured and convicted of war crimes for harbouring Jews. I have known this story for most of my life. In the twilight of her years, this lady has decided that it is time for her story to be told, so it will be recorded for future generations. The woman and her sister were interned in Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp until Liberation on 13 April 1945. This is a true account of her experience.

EXCERPT:

Hanover, Lower Saxony GERMANY 1939 The house looked the same as every other dwelling in the street. Two story, attached, weathered stone. There were three bedrooms and a bathroom with indoor plumbing upstairs. An attic, where family treasures were hidden, could only be accessed through a removable panel in the ceiling of the main bedroom closet. Downstairs was a small but adequate dine in kitchen, a sitting room and a storeroom. Inside the storeroom was a staircase which led down to a basement. The house sat opposite the banks of the Leine River. It was home to Inga Albine and her family. She had one older sister, two older brothers and one younger brother. They loved summer when they could swim and play in the water. Inga’s father, Adaulfo, was a well-known and successful Banker. An unusual occupation for an Aryan as most Bankers were Jewish. Inga’s mother, Alisz, was a talented seamstress but with her husband being more than capable of providing for the family, sewing was a hobby rather than a chore. Although sewing gave her a great deal of joy, her first love was her family. She adored being with her children. Being only children, both Alisz and Adaulfo had always dreamed of having a large family. Their dream had come true. They had five healthy children, blonde haired, blue eyed. Perfect Aryans in Adolf Hitler’s eyes. Klaus, 18, Manfred 17, Elke 15, Inga 13 and Oskar 8. The girls and Oskar attended private school while the two older boys studied Engineering. They all played the violin and with the exception of Oskar, they played very well. Neighbours often praised Adaulfo and Alisz on how polite and well-mannered all five children were. The family were prominent in the local community. They never hesitated to help people who were less fortunate than themselves. That was to be their downfall….. Cover Reveal - First Degree Innocence and Sarah's Heart an Passion by Ginger Simpson #BooksWeLove

Usually Friday Freebits runs through Monday when Rita takes over, but I have a beautiful new cover to reveal and some exiting news.  Sarah's Heart and Sarah's Journey have been combined into one book, a new cover designed, and is now listed with Baker & Taylor and Ingrams. I received news yesterday that some orders have already been placed by retailers.  Whoot!

First Degree Innocence has been given a new look and another edit  to make it as perfect as possible and is being added to the catalog as well.  I'm very excited to see my best-seller, make the grade, and I hope I can soon snap a photo of one of my books in a brick & mortar store without having to smuggle it inside.  *lol*  I did that, you know?

Anyhow.  Thanks to Michelle Lee for such a beautiful job on the new covers and to Books We Love for helping me realize what has been a dream for a long time.  The new versions of these books are already for sale on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and hopefully coming to a retailer near you, soon.  Ask them to order the products from Books We Love, and you won't go wrong.
